Russell Wilson, aka Mr. Unlimited, aka DangeRuss, is now the Pittsburgh Steelers' newest addition to the quarterback room. A two-time NFC champion, a Super Bowl champion, a 9x Pro Bowler, and most prominently, the inventor of the DangerWich from Subway, Wilson has many fans buzzing with excitement about the offense's potential. A veteran QB who can still go, a one-two punch of a running back duo, a trio of receivers that showcase speed, hands, and playmaking abilities, and a tight end that, when healthy, is top ten makes the offense look promising.

However, Wilson, no matter how well his time in Pittsburgh goes, whether he only plays one year or when he retires, will ALWAYS be known for his time in Seattle, winning a Super Bowl in just his second year in the league and having a great career in Seattle for nearly a decade. However, disagreements with contracts and a healthy to frail relationship with head coach Pete Carrol led to Wilson taking him and his DangerWiches to Denver. That tenure, however, would go differently.

Stats-wise, Wilson did well, but an 11-19 record made the 5-year, $245 million contract ultimately a massive backfire on the Broncos organization. But with how long Wilson has been in the league, it's surprising to hear he has only faced the Steelers TWICE and has yet to lose. Both games were ELITE showings from Wilson. Let's go over both performances and see how Wilson performed against his future team, with whom he will probably win his second Super Bowl.

2015, Week 12 @ Seattle:

The Steelers' fantastic 2015 offense but subpar defense meets a great Seahawks offense but an even better defense: the Legion of Boom. Have you heard of them? But what if I told you the best player from this game wasn't Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, or Jarvis Jones? Shocking, I know. It was Markus Wheaton. The former Oregon State Beaver recorded nine receptions, 201 yards, and a touchdown. Despite this and an 18-14 halftime lead, the Steelers would get outscored 25-12 in the second half and lose 39-30. The Legion of Boom performed well with four interceptions, and at-the-time reigning NFC Champion Russell Wilson would light up the Steelers defense with a 70% completion rate, 345 passing yards, and five passing touchdowns. Wilson and the Seahawks went onto a 10-6 record, a wild card win but a divisional round loss to eventual NFC champs, the Carolina Panthers.

2019, Week 2 vs. Seattle:

This game depressed fans, not because of the loss, but because Ben Roethlisberger blew out his elbow this game, required surgery, and missed the entire 2019 season. The quarterback carousel between Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges began spinning with this game. Rudolph would do fine despite being thrust in and even throwing two touchdowns. But a lacking run game for the Steelers, a failed two-point conversion, a late TD to DK Metcalf, and Wilson throwing an 82% completion rate, 300 passing yards, and three touchdowns would lead to the Steelers falling short 28-26 and starting 0-2 on the season. Wilson and the Seahawks would end the season with an 11-5 record and a wild card win, but they would fall short in the divisional round. I'm seeing a pattern here.

In Wilson's career vs. the Steelers, he would total a 76% completion rate, 645 passing yards, and eight passing touchdowns. The Steelers have a new quarterback, and free agency has just started. Are there more free agents on the way? Buckle up, Steel City, let's ride.
