The 2024 NFL draft is approaching fast, and the consensus is that the Chicago Bears will be selecting Caleb Williams out of USC with the first pick in the draft. The Pittsburgh Steelers have the 20th overall pick, and it appears they will use that selection to bring an offensive tackle, potentially a center to the Steel City.

Oregon's Jackson Powers-Johnson has been one of the favorites, but it seems his draft stock has been dropping. With that thought in mind, West Virginia center Zach Frazier could now represent better value for the Steelers in round two.

Both aforementioned men stand 6’3” with Powers-Johnson 15 pounds heavier at 328. Last year’s first-round pick brought now full-time starter offensive tackle Broderick Jones to Pittsburgh. The year before that, Kenny Pickett is now a back with the Philadelphia Eagles. The Pittsburgh Steelers have had some particularly good talent drafted with their first overall pick and they’ve also had some players who just didn’t make the cut.

What follows is a listing of every player ever drafted with the first pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers with a brief analysis. Then there is some history about Pittsburgh’s draft classes that began in 1936.
